I have tasted some vintages from this distributor and have been thoroughly un-impressed but I figured, $50 for a 35+ year old barolo was worth a try.
Color of deep red tracing to pink and amber/yellow edges, perfect cork.
Nose of heavy cassis, blackcurrant, saddle leather, hint of straw, subtle smokiness
