Notes
-----
Ruby red to amber and watermelon at the edges; still a
tremendous amount of richness of color given this wine's 50
(FIFTY) years of age. Not very noticeable legs.

Nose of peat, plums, prunes and minerals... gave way to a
burst of clean, fresh vanilla oak, from there it morphed
into leather and then an incredible explosion of violets
that went on and on. Extremely floral and pleasing.

Medium to light-bodied with an incredible finish. The
structure was starting to wain - this wine was undoubtedly
very well-kept and it shows. The nose contains every last
hint of all its glory, but on the tongue it showed a slight
imbalance of acidity and oxidation. Not so much as to take
away from the overall experience. This was a magnificent
bottle that I would have drank ten times the quantity of had
it been available.
