This fortified dessert wine is a beautiful shade of brown
that shows red when the light shines through it--basically
the color of cherry amber. The scent is very light, but rich
and caramelly. The wine is thick, with a pleasant velvety
mouth feel, strong legs, and 18% alcohol. It's sweet, but
not strongly so, and has that "burn" like brandy from the
alcohol. It has a distinctively raisin flavor. This is a
very enjoyable dessert wine of its type, especially at such
a good price.
