Chateau/Producer:Inniskillin
Wine Name:Icewine Vidal
Country:Canada
State:Ontario
AOC:VQA
Region:Niagara Peninsula
Wine Score:96
Notes:This icewine is excellent, sweet yet balanced. The color is a beautiful light amber, tending toward golden yellow at the edges. Its aroma is distinct and present, with scents of honey, orange marmalade, and apricot. The wine has a medium-heavy body, and a great flavor. It's got a very thick, rich sweetness, with just enough acidity to keep it from being too much. It reminds me of a lightly orange- or tangerine-flavored syrup, but more fluid and less cloying. I enjoyed this more than some other icewines with sweetness, but less rich fruit flavors to complement that sweetness.
