| Yes, it's true--another wine-related movie has been made. But it's not Hollywood trying to capitalize on the success of Sideways--at least, not yet. |
Nope, this one is a documentary, Mondovino, taking a hard look at the globalization of winemaking and defending the individuality of small wine producers everywhere.
It's got to be a good movie; it's got the winemaking industry up in arms already. The director, Jonathan Nossiter, is a former sommelier with 15 years of experience in NYC restaurants, as well as an acclaimed filmmaker. French movie critics are loving it. It's due to open in the United States in March. Mark your calendars! |
